The tell

Pistachio to olive green. Sometimes a whole pebble of it, more often a seam or a scatter of green running through a basalt cobble. Either way, it has none of the segmented turtleback of a greenstone and none of the bubbly crust of a prehnite.

If you find green in the Keweenaw, epidote is by far the likeliest answer. Greenstone is the rare one and it looks nothing like this under a tilt.
