Favosites · no spokes inside the cells
The tell
Plain-walled tubes packed tight, with no radiating spokes inside them. That absence is the whole test, not the size of the cells. Favosites is a tabulate coral and has no septa; the petoskey coral is a rugose coral and every cell has them.
Different coral entirely: Favosites rather than Hexagonaria. It is not a "baby petoskey", it is a different animal.
